Before you start
- Decide your company structure: departments, jobs, offices, cost centers, sub-companies.
- Prepare an employee list (Excel) if you plan to import.
Steps
- Create your company workspace in Armano.
- Open Settings and configure your structure:
- Departments
- Jobs
- Office locations
- Cost centers
- Sub-companies
- Occupation types
- Degrees
- Configure Approval processes (start with what you will use immediately):
- Time Off approvals
- Expense approvals
- Attendance approvals
- Set Work schedules and Public holidays (required for accurate attendance and time off).
- Configure Time Off:
- Time off types/policies
- Eligibility rules (if applicable)
- Create Onboarding/Offboarding templates:
- Templates
- Task lists
- Owners (HR / manager / IT)
- Configure Employee information fields:
- Add custom fields you need (ID numbers, contract type, emergency contact, etc.)
- Add employees:
- Invite by email, or
- Import employee Excel file
- Assign roles and permissions (Admin + managers).
- Activate modules and start with simple ones first.
Result / What happens next
- Your structure, approvals, people data, and core modules are ready. Employees can log in and start using Calendar/Chat/Files/Expenses.

- Configure structure and approvals before importing employees (reduces cleanup).
- Create Onboarding templates before the first wave of invitations.
